A VERY busy wedding weekend

We had a wonderful weekend in Buffalo. TJ's best friend Larry got married to beautiful Jordan this weekend and the whole weekend was perfect. The couple didn't forget a single detail. The weekend was full with a rehersal dinner and after party, golf for the men, a gorgeous ceremony in which the band played till 2a.m., and to wrap things up...a party suit for the Bill's game. I was extremely nervous to leave Nora two nights in a row and have her go to sleep by taking a bottle. But, Nora was a champ! She did great. Aunt Cheryl was wonderful to her and took very good care of her both nights. I definitely ended my nights earlier than the rest of the family, but still had a GREAT time.
TJ was one of the co-best men along with Uncle Paul. He looked very handsome, their speech was funny and swee. And TJ seemed to be gone the entire weekend. I think Nora missed him.
The beautiful bride, Jordan and her handsome hubby Larry. So happy.
We hope they are having fun in Bora Bora.
Grandpa and Grandma were so excited to see Nora. They bought her some adorable fall clothes that I am sure will show up in many pictures to come.

Hi Grandpa!

She's growing so fast

Nora is getting so big. Well, I suppose she has always been a big "little baby" but she is growing up. She is following objects, rolling over, enjoying toys, the list goes on. She is such a sweetheart and a very happy baby.
I love this pic. of her. She received this dress from my obgyn. I LOVE it! She has begun to giggle which is adorable and I caught her in action during this pic.
We clip her hair at the top sometimes because she has a little puff. My mom says she looks like Pebbles from the Flintones. Quite fitting actually.
What a doll!
Her nana finished her blanky and it is so cute. She is all snuggled up in this pic. I have to give a big shout out to my sister, mom, and aunt. They have been watching Nora a lot and I am SO SO appreciative. Thank you so much! I love you all.
Nora also tried food this week. We started with Avacado and Bananas. The texture is definitely throwing her off a bit.

OH....Nora says "hi" to uncle Geoff. We know you look at our site and can't wait for Nora to meet you.

The Bill's won!

These photos were taken last weekend after TJ recovered from the sad loss of the season opener. The Bill's pulled through and won last weekend. Oh, it was a much happier evening. Nora got all dolled up again in her one of many Bill's outfits.

The bow definitely makes the outfit!
"What a long game mom and dad, I'm exhausted."
This same weekend we went to see my cousin play in a tennis match near our house. I am not an avid tennis player or watcher, but we had a great time watching her. This little lady is one good player. The match lasted 2.5 hours I think. Poor Maggie, she was so tired afterward.
Nora tried out the swings at the park. She really liked them!

The Bill's make me want to....

SHOUT! GRRRRRRRRRMonday night game. TJ was so excited. The Bill's were having a GREAT game and then...the last 2 minutes come upon them, ugh. At least Nora looked ADORABLE.
She wore this outfit all day on Monday!
This was Sunday's outfit for Season Opener. She got some new shades.
I think she feels like she looks like a boy.

Happy Birthday TJ

Happy birthday to you...
TJ turned 31 today! What an old man. :) He was so pleased that his birthday fell on the season opener. Unfortunately for him, the Bills were not playing today, but he was still content watching other games. He made me and Nora watch football with him today as part of his birthday present. Nora even wore her Bill's jersey (I will post pics later once they're loaded). Tomorrow night is GAME DAY for the Bills! Oh I do hope they win. TJ is always in a much better mood when they win.
I think TJ had a good B-day. I made him a really good dinner on Sat. night when Nora finally went to sleep. It was quite late for us...9:30 for dinner...YIKES! Today he got a few presents and we hung out all day. Much different then birthdays of the past, but we both love how our lives have changed since Nora came into the world. He is such a good daddy and wonderful husband. Nora and I are pretty lucky girls.
We love you babe...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

What a laugh!!!

"Mom, it was the doll, in the crib, with the butter knife"
I feel like Nora looks like a little inspector in this adorable jacket from her Auntie Tara. It's still a little big, but we were playing dress up.
'It was...my twin'

Little snuggle bug after a bath.
This past weekend we went to the Arboretum. It is pretty much in our backyard and we haven't even been there together since this past weekend. I took my students one time, but this was a much more enjoyable trip. Nora loved looking around at all the colors and people.
I love this dress. She looks like such a little lady ready for a tea party.

Big News...
September 10th, Nora giggled for the first time!

A real belly giggle. I think it is the best sound I have ever heard. We were playing on the floor and while I was holding her, Bailey walked over to snatch one of her toys and she started giggling! I started screaming to TJ and he wisely grabbed the video camera. We now have her second and third laugh on video.
This was actually one of the things I was so sad about going back to work for. I wanted to hear her first laugh. While my aunt and mom were watching her on Tuesday, they said she was smiling so much, they thought for sure she would giggle. My mom told my aunt to stop because she new I wanted to hear her first laugh. How sweet of her. :)

These were some recent photos. She changes so much each day. Her hand-eye coordination improves daily, she likes to stand and sit in her boppy. She also LOVES to be held. Those that have been watching Nora have kindly told me "gosh, Nora really likes to be held". I suppose all summer I just never wanted to put her down or be away from her because I knew the school year was coming soon. However, now she expects to be held.

A very emotional day

It's official, my summer break has ended and tomorrow is my first day back at work. :(
I have cried a lot and have given myself a few stomach aches as well. While I do enjoy my job and realize I am quite lucky to have a job in which I can spend the summer with our child/children (in the future), I absolutely HATE leaving Nora. The past 17 weeks with her have been the best days of my life thus far. She is just so perfect in our eyes. I am going to miss her immensely tomorrow and all the days following when I have to be away from her.
I love you so so so much Nora.
Fortunately, her nana is able to watch her the next two days which puts some anxiety to rest.
I thought she looked so cute with her hat on when she woke up. It used to be so big on her.
I was feeding her the other day, and she kept rubbing her cheek while she was eating...very adorable.
Sweet, sweet baby girl.
I love you my little mush.
