....and the trip goes on

Well, once we got to Ellicotville we had a blast. It was great seeing friends and family that we don't get to see often. Teddy still didn't feel so great but there were times he seemed okay.  Nights were definitely the worst for him. Nora and teddy both skied a little on Saturday. Teddy even stayed up on the skies alone! I will try to post video. We loved meeting some new babies in the bunch and just seeing so many families all together at the same time.
We started the journey back home today.  Not going so great.  Teddy is coughing a lot and looks exhausted   Both kiddos fell asleep for a bit but woke up not feeling well.  Nora then puked not once, not twice, but three times. The last time we actually made it to a stop that she could puke out of the car.
We drove a few more miles and pulled into a hotel.  We washed the kids and car seats and I am currently blogging so I stay awake while I wait for a load of laundry that HAD to be washed.
I am not sure if Nora is sick or just getting car sick.  Teddy is definitely not well and I feel so bad for him. He just keeps saying "go home mommy".
This has been quite an adventure. I want to get home safely so we can sleep, clean our smelly car and just feel better.

Not off to such a great start...

So we are off to buffalo for a reunion ski weekend.  Tj has been super excited for months.  We decided to drive because the weather has been horrible in Chicago and four plane tickets right now was a price we didn't want to spend.  Anyway, we figured we can play it by ear then with my work schedule it would be aa safer route.
The kids have been healthy all winter- of course Nora gets sick with a bad cold las Saturday and teddy came down with a fever on Wednesday.  We took them both to doctor Thursday before leaving. No strep, but bad virus.
We decided to leave Thursday night. We didn't get very far. I have never been so scared driving. The conditions were awful with such dense fog we could. Barely see a footin front of us. Our biggest fear was if anything did happen, no one would even see our car pulled over or worse.
While Tj and I were navigating the lines in the road teddy vomited.   Everywhere.  Poor boy.  So, we carefully pulled off as soon  as we could find a safe exit and stayed off thhe road for a good hour. Cleaned. Teddy up and got back on the road to find a close hotel.
Safe at the hotel we were ready to check in and they gave us a key to an already occupied room. The man inside was not thrilled.   Then gave us a room under construction. Finally, we got a room and settled in.   Teddy was up most of the night and I couldn't do much to soothe the poor guy.
We are on the road with five hours in front of us and things are only going to get better :)
