growing up

Teddy and Nora are changing so much. Teddy has been talking so much more and learning so many new words. I love this stage when little ones make up their own words for things. Teddy calls his blanky (he has 2. A blue fleece blanket and satin bunny) "banky" and he INSISTS on having them if he can see them. He loves his bedtime routine. He still takes a bottle (oops) and cuddles up with his "bankies" and likes to be rocked.
He also loves to snuggle, which he calls "nuggle".
He says thank you all the time after someone gives him something. It's so sweet because he says "dankyou mama" or follow up his thank you with whomever gave him what he desired.
He is super active and has recently become interested in tacking people.
He loves balls and throwing them, in which he follows up a throw with a cheer or "duch down" (touch down)
He calls my older brother "Chi chi" which cracks me up, and still calls Nora " a-a"

Nora continues to be a sweetheart. She is extremely kind to Teddy and all little ones she comes across. She loves living at Nana and Papa's house. Her imagination continues to grow which is fun to see. The other day, I saw her talking to a statue of Mother Mary that my parents have.
I have also found her praying by herself which melts my heart. We recently had a family friend pass away in a motorcycle accident and the day it happened we were all crying and is so much shock.
Nora went upstairs and I found her sitting on her bed praying. Just so sweet.

I also heard her call Teddy the other day..."Teddy Theodore"  :)

Father's Day

Father's Day was the first weekend since moving into my parents house. We decided to venture out and do some fun activities for the day.
We made the attempt. The kids lasted about 4 holes and then one golf ball went in the water, and the lost interest.
So, we skipped on over to the splash park. Much more their style! We had a nice day in the sun followed by a yummy bbq.
Just for laughs...I thought I would include this. My mom has been cleaning out my great great aunts house and we found some ridiculous outwear...
fur anyone?

The big move and Nora's dance recital!

WE DID IT!!!! We moved!!!!!!!  We listed our house at the beginning of May. Sold the house in 5 days, and moved out in 4 weeks. I am extremely tired, but it is behind us now. :) We didn't expect to sell so fast and therefore didn't even begin looking for houses. So, we are currently living with my parents. So far, so good.
It all happened so fast, I didn't even have time to be sad. Packing was really fun for Nora and Teddy, not so fun for mom and dad.
Two huge storage units, and a generous friend's garage later, we are out!  And, the search for a house has begun.

In other news, Nora had her first dance recital last weekend. TJ was out of town and missed it, but she did great. Not an ounce of nervousness.

 Interesting pose.

Nora's ceremony from 3 year old Preschool

Nora had a great year at St. James this past year. The beginning of the year was definitely a transition for her. She was always eager to go, but had a bit of a tough time understanding she wasn't the teacher at first.
However, through the year, she made some sweet friends, better understood the meaning of school, and had a great time!

Teddy enjoyed the ceremony as well. :) He actually kept shouting her name during the performance.
