A new way to bathe!!!!
All you parents out there is bath time as much of an "episode" at your house as it is ours?
TJ shared a new plan with me tonight and the kids loved it-without a doubt-the fastest bath session EVER!
We pretended the bath was a car wash. Instead of a bath, we put the shower on. Both kids stood in line, we pretended they had to pay us money, used a deep voice (Nora buys into stuff better this way) and one at a time, they got in the "carwash".
They both loved it and were washed, cleaned, and had pj's on in less than 15 minutes. That's pretty good for us. Usually, bath time takes a half hour or so. Recently, Teddy has discovered that splashing is ridiculously fun and the end result is a very wet parent rushing him through his bath and out of the tub while Nora continues to play. She then has to lay in the tub until every bit of water is out.

I actually don't mind bath time. It gives us a chance to just sit with the kids and talk and play with them while washing them up. But, there are nights when I really don't want to deal with the process.
We may be using the car wash method often. If we had a shower head that moved that would be even more fun!

Super savers!!!
Nora has been needing the next phase of carseat for quite some time now. After asking a few of my girlfriends their suggestions and much deliberation, we finally bought the carseat today!  Not too exciting I know. However, this is the exciting part...We saved OVER 100 bucks!  Now that's a pretty sweet deal!
We ended up going with the Britax carseat. It has extra long straps which is what we needed. Originally, at Buy Buy Baby it was 300.00 dollars. TJ asked if they price matched and guess what? They DO! So, we found the same seat on amazon while we were at the store. We also smiled really wide and asked if we could use a 20% off coupon in addition-and they agreed.
We didn't expect either of those things to happen, so it was pretty great when it did. :)

Nora gets the Highlight magazine. There was a story in it about the Chinese New Year Dragon. So, we made one of our own. 

 Teddy had to try it on too. He has to do whatever Nora is doing. :)

Teddy loves throwing things in the garbage! He is so cute, I can't be upset that he threw them out. But we now know to check the garbage for lost items.

skiing and stuff

 A couple of weekends ago we rented a friends condo in Wisconsin and took Nora skiing. She was a trooper and did great for her first time on the slopes!

 My mom was watching the kiddos the other day and when I got home we decided it would be fun to color upside down. Nora convinced my mom to try it out. haha

 Last weekend we went to a friend's 3rd birthday party. We had so much fun. It was at Fire Zone and Nora and Teddy both had a blast.

Lately, we have been staying warm and doing lots of crafts inside.
