Spring Break!!!!

Yahoo!!!! 1 week off with my little love bug and no where to go!!!!
Don't get me wrong, I love seeing family and going to new places, but traveling with a toddler takes a toll and sometimes, it's just nice to stay around town and get some things accomplished.
So, first on the agenda...a tea party with some of Nora's dear friends. (bear, bunny, fish, and pinky bear)
Nora found a hat in her draw the other day and decided she wanted to wear it ALL morning.

She even kept it on while eating breakfast. And, while reading the paper. We thought she better get a head start with the job search. You know, it's rough out there today. You can never start too early. :)

From the neck up, Nora dressed herself. Isn't it lovely? She has interesting taste.
I will note, she does not use a pacifier any more. However, she found this one in her diaper bag and took it. Little stinker.

Nora has this little habit of calling any woman that appears to be of grandparent age, "grandma", or "nana". This has happened multiple times in public and I DON"T KNOW WHAT TO DO. Part of me thinks it's hysterical and wants her to keep doing it. I mean, do you think the woman really care? But, perhaps it is not the most polite thing to do. Today, she did it while we were on the way to the park. A lady made a comment about Nora having nice manners after she heard her say "thank you". Then Nora proceeds to say "gandma". I just pretended she was saying something else.


The last picture...a sneak peek of the future flower girl. She was so good about trying on the dress and kept twirling in it. She actually didn't want to take it off. Hopefully, we have a similar outcome on my sister's actual wedding day! Had to take the picture off----sorry!

oh my goodness!

I was trying to post a video of the St. Patrick's Day Parade we went to this past weekend and of Nora singing a new song, but the thing isn't working.
Anyway, I'll fill you all in a little...
Nora is really beginning to pretend and it is just amazing to watch. Tonight in the bath, she was pretending the walrus was hiding and she even used a deeper voice as the walrus..so funny.
Then, she coughed and brought the walrus to her back and was patting her back with it and said "you okay?" Seriously-it's amazing how much little ones pick up on.

One more story...This was a BIG mistake on my part. I definitely underestimated my daughters imagination.
Anyone remember in girl scouts when you did the story...I'm Going on a Bear Hunt? Well, I decided to do the little story with Nora. Apparently, I startled her a bit too much when we spotted the bear in the cave. The rest of the night, she was peering around the corners and saying "bear" with a tone of a question. CRAP! I repeated the story in a much more exciting and joyful way, hoping all would be forgotten-NOPE. This morning, I asked her to get her shoes from the closet and she said "bear". I hope this doesn't last. Bad Mommy.

Finally...an update!

I am well aware that it has been quite a long time since the last update. We took a little weekend trip and then got hit by a really bad cold. Nora had it first, and is still fighting it, then TJ, and then me-I am still fighting it too. My nose is so red, it is disturbing. Regardless, I am finally doing a blog update, checking email, and getting back to everything I should be doing.
Well....can you tell where we went from the picture above? Yup...somewhere cold, with BEAUTIFUL mountains! Here are a few pics. of our little trip...

Nora had so much fun meeting new friends. Little Steele was a doll and a busy little one year old.
And Steele's big brother Harlen was a little charmer. Nora enjoyed playing with him, watching movies, reading books together, playing in the snow, and chasing each other around.

The grown ups had a fantastic time eating wonderful meals, skiing, chasing kids around, listening to Uncle Mike sing and play the guitar late at night while the kids were sing and just visiting with one another.

Uncle Larry rocked Nora to sleep one night. He's getting some practice in before June rolls around and he's taking care of his and Jordan's little baby.
We had a fun filled day outside at the ranch one day. A bunch of activities were held. Sleigh rides, which Nora loved....

The group on a sleigh rideTJ snow mobiled a bunch. Nora had to try it out too. (just kidding, I told him not to move an inch while she was on it)

And...dog sled rides were available for anyone who wanted to ride. This was very cool to see in person. The dogs just LOVED performing and the trainers were so good to them.

Nora waiting for her ride with Harlen and crazy Cody. :) MUSH!We also rode in a huge Snow Cat. The amount of snow in these mountains was unbelievable! Seriously, I've never seen so much snow. Then again, I've never stayed at 8,000 ft. for a few days in a row.


The kiddos enjoyed the music too.

We were so fortunate to have the opportunity to spend a weekend with dear friends and expose Nora to a gorgeous place and wonderful new experiences.
