Nora Sitting

TJ wanted to add this video. She actually does even better in her chair now.

Our big girl at 8 weeks

Nora is 8 weeks old! I know this picture is becoming quite redundant, but I am going to take her picture in it every month to see how much she is growing. I promise to not post anymore tutu pictures besides the monthly one's from now on.
Nora is changing every day. It truly amazes me how much she grows and develops new skills with each passing day.
Nora is holding her head up much better, she is smiling at us and looking around a lot, she still hates being on her tummy and is not a big fan of the car seat or the bottle. She gags every time the bottle or a pacifier goes in her mouth. However, she is sleeping like a champ. It's sort of odd, each day she has reached a new week, she has slept that many hours at night. At 6 weeks, she slept 6 hours straight, 7 weeks- 7 hours, and last night she slept 8 hours!!!What a big girl!
We are so blessed with this little girl.
Here are more pics.

Happy Father's Day

Nora is one lucky girl. Her daddy loves her so much. TJ's first Father's Day was pretty low key, but I think he had a good one. He loves his little girl.

More pics. from weekend

Nora meets aunt Tara, aunt Lesli, & uncle Steve

Aunt Tara and Aunt Lesli couldn't get enough of Nora.

This picture was taken on Sat. We went to the Scottish Fest in OakBrook...not the best place to take a 6 week old. It was really muddy...extremely hot, and smelled of horse poop. It would have been very fun if I wasn't nervous about Nora getting heat stroke. I had to feed her sitting near mud and leaning on the storller. Oh...what adventures are next?

We had such a great weekend! Thank you Tara, Steve, and Lesli for coming to visit! All the clothes you brought for Nora will be looking quite stylish on her. Nora loved meeting her aunts and uncle.

6 weeks old and too cute!

Our little photo shoot. I love when she does this with her hands in pictures. She looks like a bunny that's going to hop away.

We changed outfits because I can't get enough of the tutu and bow. She was diggin' it too.

Getting a smile. Look at that budda belly.

She might eat the bow.

AHHHHHHHH, what a smile!!!!!!!!!

Play date and check up

On Thursday I had some friends from work over for lunch. We all had babies this year which was sort of crazy for our small school. In fact, one more baby was born as well, but Jessica and Audry couldn't make it. It was fun to just hang out with a few new moms and share what's been happening with our babies.

I thought this was really funny because all three of the babies were eating at the same time and they are all sitting in order from oldest to youngest. Nora slept through most of her own "party" Way to go kid.

Today I was dreading. Nora had her one month check up and had to get a shot. It was so sad I never want her to go through that again. I had tears in my eyes too the second she started wailing. I had to go shopping with her to make us both feel better. She got some bows and this ADORABLE tutu! Seriously, how cute is the tutu. Not a practical purchase at all. And yes, we all know how practical I am. But, I couldn't help it...it is way too funny and cute. I am sure she will have many many photos in it. Ahhh..so cute Nora.

Oh...we found out our little Nora is quite a Big girl. As if you couldn't tell from the photos. She is already 12lbs. WOW! She is in the 95 percentile for height and weight. hmmmmm. Our little chubber. She's still our peanut.

5 weeks old

Oh, say it isn't so. Our little girl is 5 weeks old.
Why is this going so fast?
She is starting to show some reactions to us which is really fun. She still sleeps and eats a lot though. She also likes to nurse a bit before falling asleep. We are trying to get out of that habit. But, I actually don't care that much, I love any amount of time I can hold her and be close to her.
I just realized, if it wasn't summer break, I would have to go back to work next week! I don't know how I would ever be able to do that. The fact that most people only get 6 weeks maternity leave is totally ridiculous.

What a little mush. I want to eat her sometimes she is so darn cute!

I had to post this picture. Nora has such a cute smile going on in it. She is getting so big already. I wish time would just stand still for a little while. I want each phase to just last a bit longer. She is holding her head up really well already. She is even able to roll over to one side. She still loves being held and cuddled. And, she loves her little rocking chair. She sits in it every morning while I am in the shower. I put her in the chair and bring the chair in the bathroom. She seems to enjoy that. She is such a little love muffin.
She went to her first baby shower today and was such a good girl...only fussed when she was hungry.

Not so Anne Geddes

I call this "not so Anne Geddes" I am sure many of you know who Anne Geddes is. She takes adorable pictures of babies. Well, this was my attempt to create a picture like hers. Yes...laugh now, it is absolutely RIDICULOUS. Poor Nora.
I do not claim to know anything about photography. In fact, I admit I know nothing about photography except that you aim and click at an object or action you want to capture.
So, my pathetic attempt to setting a scene, and making my daughter look adorable and cute failed miserably. However, I had to post it because it is so ridiculous and I thought you could all use a good laugh. Anne, I was making use of the basket you gave us. Your lovely muffins and treats looked much better in the basket.
Once again, poor Nora, you darling child.
Yeah! The baby bjorn works! I enjoyed having two hands to work with for a while today. Nora seemed to tolerate the contraption.

I had to post a redeeming photo of my sweet little girl since the first was so silly.
Sweet dreams Nora.

I'm 4 weeks old!

Yes, it's true, mom says I am 4 weeks old today. I am such a big girl. I am opening my eyes more and making many sounds. I smile a lot and sometimes cry. I LOVE to eat. Mom says it's "open bar" whatever that means. My curls show some times and I think mom tries to make them more apparent. I am also staying awake more throughout the day so mom has to hold me alot. I much prefer being held over laying down or going in my swing, but I do enjoy the swing from time to time.
This is the bear my dad bought me. I'm still smaller then the bear but not by much. And, thank you Maryn Cummings for the onsie~ I love it!
Mom tried to take more pictures after my nap and put this girlie headband on me. I'm debating if I like it or not.
MOM! I;m falling over...HELP!!!! I look like a bunny.
This is how my mom feels about me being 4 weeks old. She keeps kissing me and says "I don't want you to get bigger"
