Teddy's first flight!

Teddy started his flyer miles a couple weeks ago!  We took a trip to Connecticut two weeks ago to see Uncle Larry, Aunt Jordan, and sweet little Morgan! We had such a nice trip. Connecticut is so pretty and visiting with friends is always wonderful! Teddy and Nora both had little colds which I believe they kindly passed on to Morgan (so sorry about that). It was slightly embarrassing because when Nora needed a tissue she just kept shouting..."Burgers mom, Burgers dad!" So gross.
I must say, I was super nervous about the flight. I thought Nora would want to move about and Teddy would scream. But, all went VERY well. T.J kept Nora occupied with coloring and games on the iPad and Teddy slept a good portion of the flight there and the ENTIRE flight home!!!

This sweetie pie is Miss. Morgan. We were invited to Connecticut for her baptism! She is such a sweet, calm, little lady.
Morgan's mommy and daddy. So proud of their little angel.
Morgan's Godparents. TJ was beyond proud to be asked to be her Godfather. (He really was, he teared up..shh). :)

My children, making themselves right at home and being so very polite. :)

Teddy is 6 MONTHS OLD!!!

"Hi everyone! I am 6 months old already! Can you believe it? My parents can't. "
At 6 months old, Teddy smiles and giggles ALL the time! He loves watching Nora and has found a new interest in Bailey. He watches me coming and going (he knows where his food comes from ;) )
He is a big dude weighing 23lbs!!!! Future Linebacker I think. What do you think?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these blue eyes!
He also learned a new trick...he LOVES water and drinking from this sippy cup. He can grab it and bring it to his mouth and take a few swigs. He enjoys this water much more than the food we have been giving him if you can believe that.
"See everyone...look what I can do!"
He sits up all on his own without falling over. He is grabbing everything and anything he wants including...
Mommy's hair and earings,
toys
blocks,
and remote controls are one of his favorites!
And...this is big news....
HE HAS SLEPT FOR MORE THAN 3.5 HOURS!!!!!!!!!!  After our trip last weekend, we decided he was so over tired it was time to try letting him cry for a bit. Thank God it only took 30 minutes. I hated every minute. However, it wasn't terrible screaming like Nora. He just cried a bunch.

Happy Easter!!!

Easter 2012! Sometimes I cannot believe I am blessed with a great hubby, wonderful daughter, and fantastic son! Sleep I am not blessed with, but that is okay.
Easter morning we woke up with 2 little kiddos in our bed and our dog barking downstairs to go out. This was followed by an Easter egg hunt in the house and excitement of surprises left by The Easter Bunny! Grandma and Papa left really fun gifts for the kids too!
We got ready and headed to brunch at Nana and Papa's and then church.
Remarkably, we did get to church.
Nora had an Easter egg hunt at Nana and Papa's too. The bunny left real colored eggs and plastic eggs. When Nora came across the plastic eggs she wouldn't pick them up. She told us "those aren't the real bunny eggs." Now we know!
Breakfast was delicious! My dad can make a mean breakfast, never short on lots of variety and lots of food! YUM!
Of course I didn't charge our camera, so I only have a few pics of the day and not 1 of both my kids. Bad Mother that I am.

Nora received a Bitty Baby carrier for Easter from Nana and Papa along with a cute dress to wear and the same one for Bitty Baby-also know as Chester.

Teddy looked so darn cute in his little Easter outfit. It made it through church and then a major blow out happened in the car prior to going to our cousins house.
Teddy's first Easter! Love this snuggle bug so much!

My boys!
And...on Easter night driving home he started saying "da da da da" SOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!
He has been babbling all day today too!

Getting ready for Easter!

We had fun preparing for Easter this year. Nora, Teddy, and I made Easter Bread. It was quite a bit of work to be honest. I had no idea how many times the dough had to rise and I felt like it was an all day affair. But, we enjoyed making it. Nora mad her own little nest and braided it by herself. However, she did not nap this day and when it was time for her to eat her bread, she had her very first MAJOR melt down! The bread broke and I couldn't seem to put it back together just the way she wanted it and crocodile tears followed. Although, after 30 min. of crying, it was like someone flipped a switch because she was suddenly just fine. Oh the fun of toddler years. :)

A couple of finished loaves...We also colored Easter eggs. This was the highlight of Easter so far! Teddy even enjoyed it. Nora is waiting patiently below for me to join them.

We also enjoyed dinner with friends on Saturday night. These girls LOVE playing together!

Easter pics to follow shortly...

Almost 6 months and family time!

Teddy is almost 6 months and changing so much. The first few months, Teddy cried often. I think it had a lot to do with stomach issues. Lately however, he is so chill. He goes with the flow, does not mind his car seat-in fact he often falls asleep in it, and he giggles A TON!
He rolls and rolls and rolls and he is even pushing himself up a bit using his legs. He is sitting on his own too! Although, he topples over at times. He is doing okay with trying new foods as well. However, I have to be honest, the food thing is somewhat annoying. With Nora, I remember being really excited about making her foods and witnessing her reactions to new foods. But this time around, I am worried. Worried the food I am making isn't thin enough, worried he may get a tummy ache from the food, worried he may have a reaction. And to top it off...the diapers! Oh the diapers! I forgot how those change! :)

I try to find fun/new crafts and activities to do during the day with the kiddos. Recently, I picked this tray up and Nora is using it to sort various things. Below, she is sorting her snack. There are Lucky Charms in there. The Leprechaun left them for her on St. Patrick's Day. It was a REALLY special treat. I thought she would love them, however they remain in our cabinet with not interest on her part.

Nora and Teddy woke up to a wonderful surprise on Thursday. Grandma came to visit! Nora had some major snuggle time with her Grandma that night. And....Uncle Steve came to visit for a couple of hours on Saturday! He had some meetings in Chicago so he stopped by and spent some time with all of us! Nora is singing him Happy Birthday in the picture below.
In addition to that, Aunt Tara was here the week before on a business trip and we played with her ALL day! Unfortunately, I did not get a picture. Sorry Tara.
